Temporary Suspension of the Joint Statistical Research Program
The Internal Revenue Service’s Statistics of Income (SOI) Division is issuing this formal notice to let you know that the Joint Statistical Research Program (JSRP) is currently on hold due to unforeseen circumstances. The JSRP is designed to support research projects that utilize tax microdata to address important tax administration research questions.
Due to current staffing limitations, SOI is unable to provide the necessary support for new projects. As a result, we are temporarily suspending the JSRP until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter. We are monitoring our resources closely and will provide timely updates on the program’s status as they become available. When SOI is able to accept new proposals again, we will issue another formal notice. In the meantime, we encourage researchers to review the program description and prepare research proposals for future consideration once the program resumes.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to our Statistical Information Services Office at SIS@irs.gov. SOI Division appreciates your interest in the JSRP.
